WHAT IS DESIGN FOR AMERICA?
A NATIONWIDE NETWORK OF STUDENTS USING DESIGN INNOVATION FOR SOCIAL GOOD.
Design for America is devoted to “fusing collaboration, leadership, and creativity” to empower students to apply design thinking to large scale social problems. We use human-centered design to create local and social impact as we complete projects for social good! Working within interdisciplinary teams, we partner with community members and organizations to scope meaningful real-world design projects.
Design For America is a national organization that provides students with the resources, framework and experience to innovate meaningful solutions to the social challenges that affect us and our communities. Our studio has tackled projects ranging from supporting minority-owned small businesses around USC, to spreading empathy on campus with a community partner. We actively seek out members from all backgrounds and believe that diverse skills and perspectives are crucial to our success as a studio.
